Fujitsu Global Delivery Unit is built on the passion and purpose of our people, who make a meaningful impact both inside and outside of our workplace. In 2024, we saw that over 12,000 employee volunteers positively impacted 28,000 community members through education, environmental action, and inclusion initiatives. From planting 2,800 trees across the world to supporting digital education, our employees are creating real change where it matters most.

One of the most empowering tools for grassroots impact is the Sekinin Fund. This employee-led initiative transforms powerful ideas into action. In the last year, we have supported 12 projects covering education, disability inclusion, community development, and the environment. You can read about the highlights of the Sekinin Fund in the dedicated story below, click here.

Internally, we encourage and build a culture where every voice is valued. An important way that we achieve this is through our 17 virtual employee resource groups – one for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. You can read more about these in the story on Driven by Purpose: How Fujitsu People Power Progress.  With over 35,000 participants in 145 purpose-driven events over the past 12 months, employees are actively engaged in solving global challenges.

We’re also leading the way in diversity and inclusion: 27% of leadership roles are held by women, and our Pride Network champions LGBTQIA+ inclusion across our global offices. Adding to this, well-being is at the heart of our workplace culture. From sports clubs and mindfulness programs to the Manager’s Masterclass Series supporting 500 leaders, we ensure that our people thrive.

Together, we’re turning values into action—building stronger communities, empowering each other, and shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Fujitsu Global Delivery Unit is powered by the passion and purpose of our people. This impact goes far beyond the exceptional service delivered to our customers; it shines through in the meaningful volunteering work we lead in our communities around the world. This is who we are: a team driven by commitment, compassion, and a shared mission to create lasting positive change.

Our employees are passionate about making a difference, especially in the places where we live, work, and see the greatest need. Education is a key focus. From donating school supplies and renovating classrooms to running digital skills programs like Fujitsu Futures, our teams are hands-on in creating brighter futures. You can read more about Fujitsu Futures in the dedicated story on this website. We are also committed to environmental action, from tree planting to local clean-ups. In the past 12 months, we planted approximately 2,800 trees across the world – equivalent to 8 trees every day.

We build long-term partnerships with non-governmental organisations, community groups, and charities. This includes multinational groups like the Red Cross, World Vision, and SOS Children’s Villages, but also includes local schools, neighbourhood animal shelters (which you can see in the photo above), and even fire departments. This helps us to understand and focus our actions on what matters most to each community. And when crisis strikes – whether it’s a wildfire, earthquake, or flood – Fujitsu people step up with donation drives and emergency relief efforts to support those affected. Our long-term collaborations deliver sustainable impact, and employee-led initiatives allow individuals to champion the causes closest to their hearts.

We actively support inclusion and human rights causes through awareness events, allyship campaigns, and educational sessions on topics covering neurodiversity, gender equality, and LGBTQIA+ rights. Our employees engage in meaningful conversations, volunteer with advocacy organizations, and participate in global days of recognition to stand in solidarity with underrepresented groups.

Together, we’re turning compassion into action and building stronger, more resilient, and inclusive communities.

Our people are Fujitsu’s greatest strength, and we cultivate a community where every voice is valued and empowered to drive positive impact. We achieve this through a few key initiatives:

  • SDG Communities 絆

We have 17 employee resource groups, one for each of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The groups are virtual, to allow for everyone across our global offices to participate and connect with each other across time-zone and language barriers. Our SDG Communities 絆 are driven by passion and purpose, and empower employees to address global challenges. Over the past 12 months, 35,000 individuals participated in 145 events focused on the SDGs, ranging from AI ethics to holistic well-being, directly channelling their passion into tangible change.

  • Women in Leadership

We champion diversity, equity and inclusion, creating a workplace where everyone belongs. As of March 2025, women held 27% of leadership roles across Fujitsu Global Delivery Unit, exceeding the tech industry average. Additionally, 42.3% of new hires were women, demonstrating our commitment to building a strong talent pipeline of women in technology.

  • Pride

Our Pride Network is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees. During Pride Month 2024, the network organized seven activities globally under the theme “We are Family,” engaging over 300 employees. These activities included collaborations with external organizations like SER+, GAT & AMPLOS, focusing on education and support within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Beyond the Pride Month initiatives, we are committed to broader community support. For example, colleagues in the Philippines partnered with “Hands on Manila” to support the Golden Gays of the Philippines. This project provided 20 senior members with a liquid hand soap-making workshop and essential supplies, aiming to improve their livelihood, hygiene, and overall community well-being.

  • Wellbeing

We prioritize employee well-being, recognizing its crucial role in enabling our people to thrive. Initiatives range from leadership training and mindfulness to resources for physical and financial health, complemented by opportunities to participate in running clubs, cycling groups, team sports like volleyball and basketball, hiking excursions, and even company-sponsored yoga and fitness classes. Employees recognize and welcome these initiatives – we achieved a strong wellbeing score in our annual employee survey, surpassing the industry benchmark.

  • Supporting managers

We supported 500 managers’ mental and emotional health through our Manager’s Masterclass Series. Topics included stress management, work-life balance, building resilience, and leading with empathy. Trainers shared practical tools for self-care, effective communication, and building a positive work culture. The workshops helped managers prioritize well-being while navigating daily challenges and promoting mental health awareness within their teams.

We empower our employees through sustainability initiatives, diversity equity and inclusion efforts, and a focus on well-being. At Fujitsu, our colleagues can unlock their potential, drive innovation, and create a brighter future for both ourselves and the world.

Fujitsu employees have incredible ideas to support their local communities and make a difference to our planet. The Global Delivery Unit (GDU) Sekinin Fund allows any GDU employee to prepare a business case highlighting the importance of their idea and how to transform it into action, through budget allocation and volunteering. The submitted business cases are reviewed by a Board made up of senior executives, who allocate funding twice annually.  Sekinin Fund activities can target education, specific community needs, environment and sustainability, or wellbeing.

During 2024, the Sekinin Fund awarded 12 projects across our global offices, which covered several key strategic areas. Education is a significant focus for our employees with projects including: converting a bus into a mobile classroom for students from underprivileged isolated communities; refurbishing science and technology laboratories in a local school; reconstructing and equipping day-care centres; donation of educational books, tablets and laptops; training of teachers and educators; and strengthening technology and leadership skills to increase students’ preparedness for the future.

We support persons with disabilities through a project that supports people who are deaf or hard of hearing to create a bakery and cafeteria; another project renovated an exterior space for leisure and therapies for the beneficiaries.

Underprivileged communities were supported with projects focusing on youth health, nutrition and physical activity, integration of foreign minors, and empowerment of elderly members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Environment was not forgotten and a new Miyawaki Forest, replicating natural ecosystems and enhancing local biodiversity and air quality, will grow because of a Sekinin Fund idea.

At Fujitsu Global Delivery Unit we believe that employees can make an impact where it is most needed. The Sekinin Fund enables our ideas to grow into actions with real long-term positive impact.
